Hey boys & girls, I know some of us have a room we like to call our own and if we don't we certainly call the garage our "Man Room". Here's a link I got from a member in our car club showing some of the most luxurious garages around. Gotta tell ya, I was drooling over some of these. Of course, if I had em, I'd have to fill it with my favorite cars..........The one with the Vette's is right there.
Back when I worked on water heating equipment for Teledyne-Laars, I was in Palm Springs on a call for a Ed Nelson, IIRC, some big-wig movie director or sumpin. I'm lookin for the pool equipment but can't find it. "It's in the garage he says with the rest of the HVAC stuff". He opens the garage and there sits several PRIMO cars and the ass end of the garage is all glass overlooking all of Palm Springs. I almost wet my pants right there. I was only about 25 and had never seen anything like that. You could just sit in the car with your honey and not even have to go up to lovers lane!!!

I got that same Mail last week,, definitely way too much money for anyone to have,, but I will make a bet with ya,,
I bet none of those guys have the ability to build any of those cars, Homes, just the ability to write the check,
does that statement have a slight ring of Jealousy to it,??? Damn right,,, I'm jelious as hell
I wonder just how many of them can really afford to write the check, Rat. Remember, I work in the high-end window and door industry, and in the last year I've heard of our company being screwed over on $80,000 to $125,000 in window orders when the customer bounces the check on us. Sad part is, those are probably our mid-to-low end purchasers. Upcoming, we've got a $5,000,000 order for a country star's new home....

i like an old garage somethin like monster garage or the one that my buddy has where i keep my nova. that other stuff just aint me. its nice but stupid.
I think I was just groovin on the wet bar and all the nastalgic decor that was in some of those. I would love an old juke box loaded up and a 50's fridge for brewskis.
The slate floors, fine cabinet work, ect. , just a bit much. Yea Rat, not one build in the bunch. I was looking at a 60 or earlier vette in lake havasu, az. a few weeks ago at a cruise and instead of the 9-tooth grill, it had something like 15 or 16 teeth. Sorry dude, who made that for ya, wal-mart????
Guess I was just wanting a little more room than I got now. Sheesh, Could you ever have enough room?????

The majority of our business was commercial Doors and hardware , pretty much complete buildouts for office buildings,, some of those exec's can spend a BUNCH of money on trivial stuff. to feed their ego image,, Black walnut custon made doors , solid brass hardware, ETC,, and it works just like the much cheaper hardware,, just a ego trip for these guys with some body elses money,, [kinda like the extravagant bonous's ] my son in law is one of these guys,, he is a investment broker for a big bank , always traveling,, has a 6K S/F house, boats bla bla,, and no cash,, all done with credit..
