Hey, Poncho, or anybody --- how's it all hangin'??

Any of y'all still kickin'?  We're still hangin' on, no floods, just HOT mostly; had some health gremlins kicking us around, but seem to be on the up side of that mess now.  Got stuff that needs doing, and some days my mind and body tell me to get after them, but then, one or the other says "whoa, don't do that", and we're back to spectator status.  Hope all are well wherever you're at.  If you drop in here from time to time, just say "hey"; I'm sue Poncho would appreciate it, and I wonder about you all all the time.

Later.

I'm still hanging in there. My COPD is slowing me up a LOT, but I keep on trying while I huff and puff and wheeze and gasp. I quit smoking about 3 years ago, %$#*! cigarettes! I've been trying to avoid the humidity as best I can. Bought a couple of $99 window air conditioners for the house which help my breathing a lot. It's been a hot muggy summer here in the Poconos. Doc says I don't need oxygen yet. I'm wondering just how bad it needs to get before she changes her mind.

My dad had to go into assisted living this spring, and so I inherited his cat. The cat doesn't know his own name, because my dad couldn't remember it, so he comes to "smoochy" noises. It's funny because he acts like he has always lived with us. He is affectionate, but hasn't learned that the kitchen table is off limits.

I hope he Em(E) answers; it's been a long time. I keep up with him on facebook, and I think he's getting on ok.  And I think of Bill often, too, wonder if he's doing ok.

We're in recovery, still; we both have had a relapse of that bug, but not as severe as the first time. Weather has started to temper considerably here, turned on the A/C for the first time in a week today, but I think Fall has fell - and I am glad of it, this Summer was a long, hot one.

Golly gee whiz, it's gonna be November in a couple of days. I'm looking into turning a couple of unused trap shotguns into an electric scooter I can load on my truck so I can go to tractor shows and at least have a little fun. The new scooters with the lithium batteries are amazing. I can go 40 miles at 15 mph. That is far enough for me to get into trouble, and fast enough for me to escape.

Haven't heard back from anyone since I messaged them. No news is bad news it seems in the forum world. Hopefully they are just too busy to bother with us.....lol

Not necessarily, Poncho, I think your "hopefully" is more the operative word, at least in Meller's case; I had a "like" from him today on a facebook post I made, so I know he's still kicking. Hope the same can be said for our other missing denizens. I understand how things can slow a person down, though, especially at the age some of us are, now; I know Bill, Em(E), and I are past mid-seventy, and a lot of the time for me, I am not fit for human consumption, and it would be so easy to just blow it all off and be a hermit. But, I pop in here almost every day, just to try and keep things from rusting up too much. By the by, I do hope you're well and getting on fine, too.
