Nice lookin' place...noticed your stained concrete, looks good. How about the Pontiac and the boat...HOTDAM !! You know that houses are never done, they're always a work in progress. I was foolish enough to do a live-in reno...Geez, never again! For 15 months before the fire we were in the midst of renovating. The trim I was staining the morning of the fire was the custom crown molding that I made (and carved)...we would have been finished once that was installed. Ooops!! I started running away on a rant again...nice place!! biggrin

Thanks for the kudo's guys, we bought this place in 1981 it was a hole   built in 1955,, but was a well built home, just had never been maintained,, definately a fixer upper,, but cheap,  paid 56K  for it on  a 2/3 acre lot,, and worked on it for a whole year and didn't make a dent in it,, I have kept chippin away at it and finally she tied me down to a positive attitude[ KINDA]about finally getting it done,,

That boat was a jinks ever since I bought it, I completely re built it ,everything new,, in 3 years I put 3 new motors in it,, The reason?? That Blower you see there,, But I can't really blame the blower,, gotta blame ME,, I just like to go fast and it took care of business ,, I put another new motor in it and traded it staight across for the wake board boat I have now,, and I have left this one completely stock,, and it has been good to me,, What can I say     ??? I like huffers,, they sound prurdy,,, and squeel alot

My fishin consists of buying a can of tuna at the market,, fish hate me,, biggrin

  COME ON,,,,
On the stained concrete  ,,, I now realize after talking to you that I need a couple of more coats of sealer, of something to make it shiney,, it just looks dull,,,

Geezer,,,, this how I start my grand kids out,, Cooper is my youngest sons boy ,, almost 5 now,,, just loves wrking on stuff  he's my bestest buddy he says

Tis is what is known in these parts as a big fish,,  this is a sturgeon that was caught on the Willamatte river that flows through  downtown Portland Oregon,, just above Oregon city, [suburb of Portland]
I weighed in at a bit over 1000 # was 11' 1" long and 56" around the girth,  it took 4 guys 6 1/2 hourd and 4 dozen beers to land it,, it was caught in Jan of 06,,
these things live to be over a hundred years old,, considered prehistoric, and are bottom feeders like cat fish,,  really good eating especally smoked,, but I doubt this dude was very good eating,  don't know maybe he was,,
I am not sure of the rules  but I think anything under 4 ft have to be put back in the river and anything over 6 ' or something like that

"Big fish..." ....it's a frickin' monster!! I'm not an angler...never fished in my life. I've always wanted ta do that deep sea, adrenaline type fishin' and so this year (if I get my boat) plans are bein' made for a shark fishin' expedition. That sounds like fun...and I know they're good eatin'. 8'-9' sharks are fairly common here, if ya know where ta go.

I think that shark fishing would be a kick in the tail bone,, except when it came time to drag that sucker into the boat,, maybe you could drag him behind the boat..biggrin
I have gone out on afew charter fisnin trips,, the last one was last year when My Bro-n-law [82 y/o]came up to visit from New Nexico,, he just had to go out fisnin,, so I chartered a trip,, 75$ each for 4 hrs,  came to 300$,, we no sooner threw off the docking rope ,, and he started in pukin,, and pukin and pukin and p---  he stayed in the cabin the whole trip  and didn't wet a hook,, white as a sheet,, I felt sorry for ther guy,, thought we might have a burial at sea,, but back on dry land he was ok,, still white tho,
between 4 of us we caught 2 salmon,,   I caught "0"that adds up to 150 bucks for each fish,,that don't include what it cost to get to the boat,,,,, I could have bought them in the damn store for less,, but it the fun of the hunt Right??? right,, one thing is for sure,, he won't be gettin on any more boats,, biggrin and i don't even like fish,,

Yeah, I'm not a big gill-eater...I prefer my seafood to live in a shell. I know, I know...they're the ones that crawl along the bottom suckin' on sewage. Still my favorite, though. There are exceptions...I enjoy a shark steak every once in a while or a homemade fishcake (usually cod).
Seasickness can happen to anyone and it can be miserable...last for days on dry land. There's a little patch ya can get for that...yep there's a patch for everything...ya just put it behind yer ear. I've seen guys that are prone to seasickness use these and become Capt'n Jack-frickin' Sparrow!! biggrin

Yeah  that motion sickness ain't no fun,, I had a good taste of it when I was in the navy,, I went on shakedown cruses with 2 different Aircraft carriers,, and we got caught in a typhoon off the coast of hongkong somewhere and was tossed around like a cork for 3 or 4 days,, a big ship like a carrier sloshes side to side, and up and down both,, so you never know which end to put in the toilet,, but after that bout,, I didn't have much of a problem,,

Never had shark ,,,,,  what does it taste like    Chicken,,,,, like everything else??confused

Just noticed you were born in 67,,, you are just a couple of years older than my oldest son  he was born in 69

Uh-Huh 1967 model. Smashed up and runs like a 1927. Needs full restoration.

Shark, the stuff I had anyway, has that "fish" taste...but not overwhelming and not oily at all. It has the texture of pork tenderloin usually...sometimes it can be similar but a little bit "stringier". I like it great off the Q...a little lemon, a little lime, shake of black pepper, shake of oregano.
