Let's see your computer desks....

...Mainly because I need ideas for one here.  I have got to find a better way to stash all the stuff that goes with it (modem, printer/scanner, beer can holder, etc...) than what we have.  Currently, the keyboard is sitting in my lap.  If you got an ideas, or rough plans, please post them up.  Thanks!

In a while, Chet.

I refuse to clean off my computer desks nobiggrinwink

So here they are - - - the first and largest one is my computer which is not in use anymore except for the printer and any files that I might need from the C drive.  There is plenty of room on this one - - - altho my speakers are on the window sill there is room for them behind the monitor (flat screen)

The second and smaller one is the Wiff's which I am using until I can get the worm or whatever outa mine.

(Note: that is not dust, it's merely a reflection from the cobwebs on the ceilingbiggrin)

I don't have a computer desk. I use a laptop, it's on a stand on the coffee table. I spend 90% of my waking time on the couch because of my back. That's why I'm on so much. My wife and son share a regular desktop PC on one of those pre-fab corner type computer desks. It seems to work well to hold all of their junk and the printer, modem, router...all of that stuff. If I can find some "live" batteries for the camera I'll post a pic. aww

Hi guys. Over the years i have had several boughten desk, and i think most of them are junk, even when i paid a lot of money for them. I have limited space so i figured i need to go two story's hi. I started out with a good used 3' by 5' steel desk, then i my friend build me my second story. He built it so good that i never had to fasten it to the desk. i have had it
this way for three years now and it works great. I have two printers, a scanner and every thing i want tied to it. I really don't think i could buy a desk that i would like better. I had the eye doc. fix me up with some reading glasses and i have a office chair that adjusts
where i need it.desk pictures 003.jpg

Terrific, I showed the wife these setups without totally viewing all the accompanying text.  Now she's pushing harder for me to get a laptop just for her.  Thanks a bunch guys.....hmm.  I figure I'll wind up with the one I'm using now out in the shop, so maybe this will work out afterall.  Oh well.

I like pauls setup, but I'll have to modify it a bit because I can't put anything over the top like he has.  My computer is in the kitchen, with a planter (crap catch-all....) in a half wall directly behind it.  So, paul, how wide do you recommend?  Got anything you'd like to add or subtract from what you have?  Thanks again,

In a while, Chet.
