Bolens 2027

Alady was tossing this, so guess where it ended up?....Yeah, in my trailer......Going to fix it up for my daughter.

I found that it is missing some parts....The blade, the shaft and the pulley that goes on top of the deck. Wondering where and how much this stuff will cost....and how hard it will be to find. I think finding a 28" blade is going to be hard.

Good Score, Poncho, my Dad loved tinkering with 2 cycles and small appliances and none of that rubbed off on me nodisbeliefyawnwinkbiggrin

Had it running.........surges a bit, probably junk in the carb. Will go tomorrow and see my parts guy.......I have the manual for it, so we can figure out what the deck needs.

My daughter can make good use of it, she has about a half acre to cut.........

It seems I buy a new mower every couple of years for some reason [ not riders,, seems I have problems with running over stuff in the grass and reaking havoc on the motors, or maybe just hoping I will finally find one that will mow the lawn without my help] I have 2 setting out back now that the neighbor said he wanted,, but they are still here, but he comes over and gets parts off of them every so often,  [You know ,,,, maybe he does want them but wants me to store them till he takes of all the parts he needs ,, then it will be up to me to get rid of the remains,no

 He tinkers with miniature motors,,

Regular push mowers....I have 3 that run plus an antique motorized reel mower....plus 3 junkers behind the shed.

With this latest rider, which will go to the daughter, I have 7 .....all running....more or less.....Gotta lose a few...shed is too full now.

I have an ad in the local Freecycle & Kijiji that states I will take old tractors etc......So far I have gotten 2 free tractors, another for $50 and a free chipper shredder....all needed work, but all run now....pretty hard to kill these small B&S and Kohler engines.....

sounds like you have found your calling, Poncho... a good hobby,, and certainly cheaper than buildin hotrods, and definitely easier to sell,,

gotta change your name to THE B.S. KID, not meaning briggs and Stratton eitherbiggrin

Poncho, are you still looking for 2027 parts? I just picked up one of these to use the engine for my JD mower. The rest of it is fairly shot, but the deck spindle with the pulley and the blade are still there.
