Poncho or anyone out there?? - - - - is there a product (preferably in a spray can) that you recommend to spray on a lawn mower engine to clean all the "goop" off ?
This season is almost over and I want to do some tweeking and maintenance in the off season but right now you can't even see the motor for all the crap on it.

I'd use the power washer on it......seal up the carb and blast away.......You dont want a small engine to have all that gunk in the cooling fins....will overheat.
I use Varsol or diesel fuel to clean engines etc......brush it on, work it in a bit and spray it off
The best and cheapest product I've found for cleaning engine blocks is "Easy Off" brand oven cleaner in an aerosol can. Spray on, let it sit a few minutes then blast it off with a pressure washer...you might have to repeat it its really grundgy.
Wear some rubber gloves as it's corrosive on your skin.
i used easy off on my frame.it works but dont get it on you.hahaha. gloves and everything else you can think of. i did it outside in a slight breeze. dont do that.
forgot to mention. this time we used purple power on everything. it worked dang good and you can wash it off with your hose.worked good on the frame , firewall and under the cab and bed.id suggest cleanin as much dirt as you can like at the car wask first.it takes oil, grease, ang gunk off dang good. id use it on an engine too.mite take a few times but it does work good.got it at the dollar store for a few bucks a gallon.
