Painting Exterior of Shop

I've been painting the exterior of my new shop and it's my first time to ever use Behr Paint but I promise it won't be my last time.  This paint goes on very easily and seems to cover very good.  One of the main reasons for using this particular paint was that the house is painted that color and there was about a half gallon left so when I ran out I went to Home Depot (the only place in town that handles it) and had them mix me another gallon.

I'm using a 3" brush that I have had for quite a while and unfortunately I have no idea where I got it but it's a good'un and is holding up great.  If I'm gonna be using it within a couple of days I just wrap it in a plastic shopping bag along with the paint stick and I'm good to go the next time.

I'm not real fond of painting but this hasn't been too bad, except for being real hard on my wrists and ONE FREAKING SKEETER that seems to love the taste of the back of my hands and between my fingers GRRRRRRRRRRR

I can only last about 20 or 30 minutes and then my hands and wrists get to hurting to bad so I close her up and go back later.  Should be thru with the entire project in a couple of days, weather permitting and I'll post up some pics then.

Yep that Baer paint is really good,, I painted the whole jnside of the house with it ,when I did the remodel about 10 years ago,, outside I used the Olympic stain, cause the new siding was cedar, and stain doesn't need a primer coat,, has lasted nearly 30 years, its not a solid color,, it colors the wood and  lets the grain of the wood show through,,

just be glad there are just skeeters and not those damn bees,, I have another swarm of yellow jackets trying to set up house keepin,, but I squerted em real good ,with some stuff,, maybe they got the message from their prior kinfolks and decided not to set up house keepin around herewink

WOO HOO - as I mentioned above, I'm not a fan of the brush and the bucket but I've made myself stay after the exterior paint on the shop so the HOA wouldn't leave nasty notes on my front door. biggrinbiggrinbiggrin

Finished touch up on the Cardboard color this morning and then put one coat of ?Red? on the trim plus another coat on the lick and promise job that the previous owners had done on the facia board.  Still have a little more Red to put on the corners and facia but that won't take but about 30 minutes barring the Skeeters.  Man, that little cool front we had this morning had them looking for me for their breakfast so for the first time in many many months I put on a long sleeved shirt to protect my arms from the blood sucking turds.
