Tool sale at Ace Hardware this weekend

They have Vise Grips on sale for $5, and a selection of Black & Decker homeowner quality power tools on sale for $29.99. Also got shelving at half price, and a lot of lawn and garden stuff.

Thanks for the heads-up, Joe, I posted a Labor Day generator sale at Tractor Supply Company a couple weeks ago and wondered where you were and whatcha been doing?  Good Old Ace has been around a long time haven't they?

I am fortunate that I have a Tractor Supply store, a True Value Hardware store, an Ace hardware all within 5 miles of home. I have a 30 minute drive to Lowe's or Home Depot or Walmart. And after studying the sale flyers from all these stores on the computer, I've discovered that if I can be patient and wait for a sale, my local stores will beat the box store prices. Add that to the savings in gas and time, my local guys get my business about 85% of the time. I'll hit the box store if I have to have something after 7:00 pm or if my local guys don't have what I need in stock.

On a side note, I'm already sticking $5 to $10 a week aside for this year's "Black Friday" sales at Lowes and Home Depot. They generally have AMAZING discounts on tools that day. I bought $200 worth of tools last year that would have on a normal day cost me over $450. Items like two Werner 4 foot fiberglass 250 lb rated step ladders for $17 each.
