Our yard looks like ...... well let's just say bad

With the l-o-o-o-n-n-n-g winter, I have yet to start any real outside work. I did a little putter work yesterday, but being Mr Mom as well has really put me in a crunch for summer activities. Since the doctor didn't put a plaster cast on my wife's leg, only 'the boot', she is still for all intent, immobile. This means I'm taking the pup out every couple hours along with the older one only needing an occasional potty run, doing the laundry, trying to keep the house reasonably clean and the dreaded meal planning and cooking. I'm out of hours. The camper is still covered though two new Laz-E-Boys for it will be delivered today, the hot rod is still under cover, a bedroom still needs paint, I need my hair cut.............and I'm tired.

End of whineno

?Mr. Mum? oh how I can relate - - - - worst part for me are the tight reins she won't let go of which makes planning and getting things done even "more" difficult most times

If it was I instead of Sherry, there's no doubt that she would step up to the plate also so I'm not complaining about having to do "everything", I just wish I had more control of it.

I think my DW and I have reached an understanding. I finally 'splained to her that I don't mind doing 'whatever' just don't ask that I do 4-5 different and unrelated chores and that I am truly sorry that she has a problem, but I just am physically unable to do the wash, rake the yard (just hired someone for that spring cleaning) vacuum a 4000+ square foot, 11 room house, take the pups on a potty walk and make a meal - all at the same time. So far, so goodbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin.

Dave Did you get to breathe between those words?

My wife makes a list of what she wants me to do every morning. ( because She believes I am getting Alzheimer's ) which runs in my family,, can't help it if I was born into a bunch of forgetful dinga- lings , but sometimes the list seems to get erased without the items being taken care of,, confuse wink sometimes it works sometimes the note is twice as long the next day,, my signal that I better get-er-donecry

Amigo, I hope that your "Case" is the same as mine in that I have "Selective Memory and Selective Hearing". My youngest is always on my butt about getting hearing aids and I just smile and tell him that "I hear everything that I NEED to hear" and so far that's been true.

Hell, if you can't joke about it then you're in for a sad day - - - "don'tcha see?"

I can hear just fine , its the heeding the message that gets me in trouble,,

Hahahahaha, that disease must be contagious because I have spasms of that occasionally also -- - - - I never have figured out why Wiffys don't understand why you need that special tool to do certain jobs and that "Round Toit Tool" is sometimes very hard to find.
