GRRRR@(%$#*&$

Well Gents, Iz gotz me a case of Eczema on my face and arms.  Went to the Dermatologist this morning and he prescribed cortisone cream so now I look like an Albino Dalmatian that itches all the time but can't scratch.  Of course he had to do a biopsy of something he found on my back and now I "wait" for the Lab results in a couple of weeks.  Wonder if something I did kicked that Eczema off???

I get a bit of that as well, it's minor so no hassle. I use clobetasol cream. Some the grand kids got it too.

'ol Doc Em(E) here has been thinking as to why this skin problem is "only" on the backs of my upper arms, both my elbows are bubbly and raw and the tops of my hands at the ring joint on 3 fingers? Couldn't think of anything that I had come in contact with specifically in only those places "except" our Myer Lemon Tree which is in full bloom. I always wear a sleeveless t-shirt so when I was hanging that vinyl gutter on the shop I had to push my way in between the eave and the tree.  So maybe it's an allergic reaction to the Lemon Tree and not something I have to deal with on a regular basis except to stay away from the "blooming" tree (no Brit accent needed there biggrin)

Uhh, yeah!!!!!!!! Meyer Lemon thorns will definitely cause a reaction in most folks, if my memory serves me right, I know they do in me. Seems that the effect just has to wear off, though. Hope yours gets better sooner.

Thanks, Em(I), I can see a tiny bit of improvement but my elbows are still in the early stage - - - they flared up the very last and are the worse for blisters and itching. The first night I had Sherry put the cream on and then a bandaid but since then, I've just put the cream on early before bedtime and rubbed it in good then let it dry. It seems so much better that way.

Well, Boyz, guess whatz??? Instead of Eczema or Lemon Tree reaction - - - I HAVE BEEN BATTLING POISON IVY and it has about done me in. That &^@(^&$&# Dermatologist that I went to 6 days ago came in and left so quickly that Sherry said he looked like he was on roller skates so now, in my word smithing way, he is "duh Roller Dermie" and has seen the last of me.

So yer trees has the pizen plant in them? That was a hazard up in the mountains, poison oak would grow in amongst the berry vines and scrub, and one had to be on their toes. I was fortunate in that I seem to be immune to that particular stuff; that brings forth a funny story.

When we bought the place, I wanted to get a section of the yard fenced to keep our city bred dogs from getting eaten, and to keep the deer out of the garden we were putting in, so I called a couple or three fence contractors to get bids. The first guy came out, and immediately took me to be a green city slicker, wannabe mountain man. We were walking off the line I had laid out, and stopped by one of the apple trees to discuss something, and he chuckled and sort of smirked at me "you know you're standing in poison oak, don't you?". I was wearing boots and shorts, and I just said "oh, yeah, it doesn't bother me". Kind'a stole his thunder, and he didn't get the job, either - smart ass.

Yeah, they say one should not brag, so I'll keep sort of quiet - that's sometimes hard to do.

Sometimes folks get too full of themselves, and just jump to conclusions.  That feller?  He don't know me vewwy well, do he???  biggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrinbiggrin
