Long time gone

Hey folks, ain't been around for a while. Hope the gang is doing well. Busy with work and my latest project. Finished for now and time to ride. Engine will come out next winter for a rebuild. It's tight but I want to make sure all is well and repaint and clean it up. IMG_4553.JPG

Yea, been a little TOO quiet, I've taken a break from other forums off and on. Hard to keep up. The bike is a 1970 Sportster, good call.

In 1969 there aired a pilot movie "Then Came Bronson" followed by a year long season. The part of Jim Bronson was played by Michael Parks and the bike is a tribute bike to the one used in the movie. I wasn't going for an exact replica, this is my version. I picked it up a few years back from the original owner in California with the intent of making one like his, then he died last year so I thought I better get busy!!!  I was in love with motorcycles as a kid and saw this movie when I was 12, that pretty much cemented it for me. Been a nut case ever since. Good movie if you ever get the chance to see it, my daughter bought me a copy. biggrin

Here's the trailer................https://youtu.be/_yM31522Fig

Hey, I am so glad to see a little action here, I have been missing the old denizens; just been Poncho and me for quite a spell, now, and we ain't none too talkative, either. I like that Sporty, it's well done and classic. I have been remiss in checking in here almost every day, missed this posting by almost two weeks. I'll try to do better.

Yea, used to be quite busy, I'm really busy so I had to scale back on computer time. This site brings back some good memories!
